The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall be in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in accordance with the applicable country-specific data protection regulations. Hosting

We host the content of our website with the following provider: Jimdo

The provider is Jimdo GmbH, Stresemannstraße 375, 22761 Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as Jimdo).

Jimdo is a tool for creating and hosting websites. When you visit our website, Jimdo collects various log data, such as your IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time you access the website. In the process, Jimdo also stores cookies. This data is used for analysis and to maintain the technical operation of the website as well as to combat abuse.

The use of Jimdo is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. We have a legitimate interest in ensuring that our website is presented as reliably as possible. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. A DSGVO and § 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) as defined by the TTDSG. The consent can be revoked at any time.

Order processing

We have concluded a contract on order processing (AVV) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that this service only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the DSGVO.

Processing of personal data and purposes of processing

When visiting the website

You can access the website without having to disclose any information about your identity. The browser used on your terminal device only automatically sends information to the server of our website to enable the website to establish a connection.

Our website collects a series of general data and information each time a user calls up the website. This general data and information is stored in the server's log files. The following can be recorded

  • the browser types and versions used,
  • the operating system used by the accessing system,
  • the website from which an accessing system arrives at our website (so-called referrer),
  • the sub-websites which are accessed via an accessing system on our website,
  • the date and time of an access to the website,
  • the Internet protocol address (IP address),
  • the Internet service provider of the accessing system and
  • other similar data and information that serve to avert danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.

When using this general data and information, we do not draw any conclusions about the users. Rather, this information is needed to

  • to deliver the contents of our website correctly,
  • optimise the content of our website and the advertising for it,
  • to ensure the permanent functionality of our information technology systems and the technology of our website, and
  • to provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for prosecution in the event of a cyber attack.

Therefore, the anonymously collected data and information will be evaluated by us statistically, on the one hand, and on the other hand, with the aim of increasing data protection and data security, in order to ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data we process. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from any personal data provided by a data subject.

The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.

The IP address is processed for technical and administrative purposes of connection establishment and stability, in order to ensure the security and functionality of our website and to be able to pursue any illegal attacks on it if necessary.

The legal basis for the processing of the IP address is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the aforementioned security interest and the necessity of a trouble-free provision of our website.

We cannot draw any direct conclusions about your identity from the processing of the IP address and other information in the log files.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your data from the inquiry form including the contact data you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO) if this has been requested; the consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after we have completed processing your request). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Inquiry by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your inquiry, including all personal data

(name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b DSGVO, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests sent to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO) if this has been requested; the consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular legal retention periods - remain unaffected.

Use of cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via an internet browser.

Numerous websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It consists of a string of characters by which Internet pages and servers can be assigned to the specific Internet browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables the visited Internet pages and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other Internet browsers that contain other cookies. A specific internet browser can be recognised and identified via the unique cookie ID.

Through the use of cookies, we can provide the users of our website with more user-friendly features that would not be possible without the cookie setting. By means of a cookie, the information and offers on our website can be optimised for the benefit of the user. Cookies enable us, as already mentioned, to recognise the users of our website. The purpose of this recognition is to make it easier for users to use our website. For example, the user of a website that uses cookies does not have to re-enter his or her access data each time he or she visits the website, because this is done by the website and the cookie stored on the user's computer system.

Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your terminal device and enable us or our partner companies to recognise your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).

The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our website at any time by means of an appropriate setting of the Internet browser used and thus permanently object to the setting of cookies. Furthermore, cookies that have already been set can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programmes. This is possible in all common internet browsers. If the data subject deactivates the setting of cookies in the Internet browser used, not all functions of our website may be fully usable.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Article 6 I lit. a DSGVO serves as our legal basis for processing operations in which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose.

If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, as is the case, for example, with processing operations that are necessary for the delivery of goods or the provision of another service or consideration, the processing is based on Article 6 I lit. b DSGVO. The same applies to processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, for example in the case of enquiries about our products or services.

If we are subject to a legal obligation by which the processing of personal data becomes necessary, such as for the fulfilment of tax obligations, the processing is based on Art. 6 I lit. c DSGVO.

In the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person make the processing of personal data necessary, Art. 6 (1) (d) DSGVO serves as the legal basis.

Finally, processing operations could be based on Art. 6 I lit. f DSGVO. Processing operations which are not covered by any of the aforementioned legal bases are based on this legal basis if the processing is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not overridden.

Information on data processing in connection with Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the data controller on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the Google Analytics data processing is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as "Google".

Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website by the site visitor (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there.

Google Analytics is used exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp()" on this website. This extension ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and excludes any direct personal reference. Through the extension, the IP address is shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the corresponding browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

On behalf of the site operator, Google will use the resulting information to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the site operator with further services related to website and internet use (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO). The legitimate interest in the data processing lies in the optimisation of this website, the analysis of the use of the website and the adaptation of the contents. The interests of the users are sufficiently protected by the pseudonymisation.

Google LLC. is certified under the so-called Privacy Shield (list entry here) and guarantees an appropriate level of data protection on this basis. The data sent and linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs are automatically deleted after 50 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached takes place automatically once a month.

The collection by Google Analytics can be prevented by the site visitor adjusting the cookie settings for this website. The collection and storage of the IP address and the data generated by cookies can also be objected to at any time with effect for the future. The corresponding browser plugin can be downloaded and installed at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

The site visitor can prevent the collection by Google Analytics on this website by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents the future collection of data when visiting this website.

Further information on the use of data by Google, settings and opt-out options can be found in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and in the settings for the display of advertising by Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

reCAPTCHA

To protect your enquiries via internet forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service of the company Google LLC (Google). The query serves to distinguish whether the input is made by a human being or improperly by automated, machine processing. The query includes the sending of the IP address and possibly other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and further used there. However, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCaptcha will not be merged with other Google data. The deviating data protection regulations of the Google company apply to this data. You can find further information on Google's data protection guidelines at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de

Data protection information on the use and application of social plugins

Linkedin

We have integrated components of the LinkedIn network on our website. LinkedIn is a service of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. You can recognise the LinkedIn components by the LinkedIn logo or the "Share Button" ("Recommend") on this website.

With each individual call-up of our website that is equipped with such a component, this component causes the browser you are using to download a corresponding representation of the component from LinkedIn.

This process informs LinkedIn which specific page of our website is currently being visited. If you click the LinkedIn button while you are logged into your LinkedIn account, you can link the content of our pages on your LinkedIn profile. This enables LinkedIn to assign the visit to our pages to your LinkedIn user account.

We have no influence on the data that LinkedIn collects through this, nor on the scope of this data collected by LinkedIn. We also have no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted to LinkedIn.

If you do not want this information to be transmitted to LinkedIn, you can prevent the transmission by logging out of your LinkedIn account before accessing our website.

Details on data collection by LinkedIn as well as your rights and setting options can be found in LinkedIn's data protection information. You can find this information at http://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

5) pursuant to Art. 18 DSGVO, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure and we no longer require the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have objected to the processing pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO;

6) pursuant to Art. 20 DSGVO, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller;
